Black dial
The Air-King features a black dial with enlarged 3, 6 and 9 numerals and a prominent minute scale for reading navigational time. It bears the Air-King name in lettering designed specifically for the model in the 1950s.
Oystersteel
Rolex uses Oystersteel exclusively for its steel watch cases. This 904L-family alloy is exceptionally resistant to corrosion, acquires an outstanding sheen when polished and retains its beauty even in harsh environments.
Oyster bracelet
The Oyster bracelet combines robustness and comfort. Its Oysterlock safety clasp prevents accidental opening, while the Easylink comfort extension allows the bracelet length to be increased by approximately 5 mm.
