Oyster Perpetual watches descend directly from the original Oyster, the first waterproof Rolex wristwatch that established the brand’s reputation in 1926. As a Superlative Chronometer, it combines outstanding precision, a waterproof Oyster case and a self-winding movement with Perpetual rotor.

The Oyster Perpetual is the purest expression of the Oyster.

Dynamic and timeless

The Oyster Perpetual is offered with subtle or vibrant dials. Sunray finishes, glossy or matt lacquer, light mother-of-pearl perlée and a multicoloured Jubilee motif create a wide selection suited to every style.

The models feature a three-piece link Oyster bracelet combining safety and comfort. Its Oysterclasp and Easylink extension allow the bracelet to be lengthened by approximately 5 mm.

The Oyster Perpetual is available in Oystersteel or 18 ct gold. A yellow Rolesor version was introduced in 2026 for the original Oyster’s 100th anniversary. Sizes range from 28 to 31, 34, 36 and 41 mm.

Reliability and precision

The Oyster case is waterproof to 100 metres. Its middle case is crafted from a solid block of Oystersteel or 18 ct gold. The screw-down case back and Twinlock winding crown with double waterproofness system protect the movement.

Depending on its size, the Oyster Perpetual is equipped with calibre 2232 for the 28, 31 and 34 mm models or calibre 3230 for the 36 and 41 mm models. Both self-winding manufacture movements deliver high precision, power reserve, convenience and reliability.
