Rolex Cosmograph Daytona
Introduced in 1963, the Oyster Perpetual Cosmograph Daytona has transcended its status in the world of watchmaking to become an icon. Its name is inseparably linked to the famous racetrack at Daytona Beach in Florida and symbolises the close ties between Rolex and motor sport, particularly the world’s greatest endurance races. Its distinctive dial with contrasting rings helped make the watch legendary. Continually improved and refined over time, the Cosmograph Daytona is a precise and reliable companion for those who choose to follow their own path.

The Cosmograph Daytona embodies Rolex expertise and stands out for its chronometric precision and unfailing reliability.
A legendary design
The bezel, minute track and three counters form a characteristic ensemble of five circles that defines the Cosmograph Daytona. Over time, dial designs, colour combinations and case architecture have been regularly reworked to reaffirm the elegance of the model.
A distinctive feature of the Cosmograph Daytona is the tachymetric scale on its bezel. Together with the central seconds hand, it allows average speeds of up to 400 kilometres or miles per hour to be measured.
Calibre 4131
The superlative chronograph movement
The Cosmograph Daytona is powered by calibre 4131. Introduced in 2023, this chronograph movement is an evolution of calibre 4130 and was developed and manufactured entirely by Rolex. It incorporates major innovations including the Chronergy escapement, Paraflex shock absorbers and an optimised ball bearing.
The movement features a cut-out oscillating weight and exclusive Rolex Côtes de Genève decoration on the bridges, a reinterpretation of a renowned traditional Swiss watchmaking finish.
Recognisable by its ice-blue dial, the version in 950 platinum has a yellow-gold oscillating weight visible through the transparent sapphire case back.
Oysterflex bracelet
Universal comfort
The 18 ct gold Cosmograph Daytona with a Cerachrom bezel is fitted with an Oysterflex bracelet. Developed and patented by Rolex, it uniquely combines the robustness of a metal bracelet with the comfort of an elastomer strap. It includes an Oysterlock safety clasp to prevent accidental opening and can be adjusted using the Glidelock extension system.
Breaking with convention
Since its introduction, the Cosmograph Daytona has been the watch of choice for motor sport enthusiasts. Legendary actor, accomplished racing driver and pioneering social entrepreneur Paul Newman, Formula 1® icon Sir Jackie Stewart, nine-time 24 Hours of Le Mans winner Tom Kristensen and British driver Jamie Chadwick are among those who have made the chronograph part of their lives beyond the racetrack.
